Establishing a Remote Desktop Connection allows you

Prerequisites

To establish a remote desktop connection,

  1. Contact your technology administrator, or call the Helpdesk at 5-HELP when you are at your on-campus computer, to have Remote Desktop enabled and Remote Desktop access granted to you for your computer.
  2. From the Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel >
System.
  • Select the "Remote settings" menu link on the left side.
  • Ensure that the "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer" box is checked (If this box is not checked, contact your administrator) .

    2. Once downloaded, run the program.
    3. Follow on-screen prompts to install the software.
    4. Open Remote Desktop Connection from

    2. In the Computer field, enter: "________.psu.ds.pdx.edu," with your on-campus machine’s name in the blank.
