ATLAS.ti Data Analysis

Staff faculty can access PSU’s pool of ATLAS.ti licenses for free. To do so, complete a request form to receive an invitation, then create an ATLAS.ti account, and connect to PSU’s license. This article walks you through the necessary steps. Students can access ATLAS.ti through the VLAB.

Be sure to sign up using your odin@pdx.edu email for the best experience and minimal licensing interruptions. OIT will periodically remove any accounts that are set up using non-PSU, personal email addresses such as:

  • @gmail.com

  • @yahoo.com

  • @comcast.net.

Request Access to ATLAS.ti

Fill out the software install form and select ATLAS.ti as the application. You will receive an email titled “PSU ATLAS.ti License Information” from the OIT Helpdesk, with a license code.

Create an ATLAS.ti Account

  1. Go to my.atlasti.com.

  2. On the ATLAS.ti Log in screen, select Create an account.

  3. On the ATLAS.ti Register screen, enter your PSU email address and choose a strong password. For the best security, choose a password that you do not use for any other account.
    Note: You must use your @pdx.edu email address to set up your ATLAS.ti account if you want to access PSU’s ATLAS.ti license.

  4. Select Create Account. You will receive a verification email from ATLAS.ti. 

  5. In the ATLAS.ti email, select Verify Your Account.

  6. On the My ATLAS.ti screen, enter your First Name and Last Name.

  7. Select Complete Registration.

Add a License Code

  1. In the Activate License section, enter the license key you received in your “PSU ATLAS.ti License Information” email into the License key or invitation code field.

  2. Select Activate License

  3. On the Join License pop-up window, select Join License.

Download ATLAS.ti

  • If you are using a personal computer, you can download ATLAS.ti by using the links provided in the Licenses for Portland State University section of the Account Management screen.

  • Faculty and staff using OIT-managed systems can download ATLAS.ti from Self-Service Software.
