Install Microsoft Remote Desktop to access the VLAB

Instead of using a web browser to access the VLAB at vlab.pdx.edu, you can choose to access the VLAB using the Microsoft Remote Desktop application, which you can download and install on your laptop, desktop computer, or mobile device.

Note: For the best experience using a mobile device, a keyboard and mouse or other input device is required. We recommend that you have experience accessing VLAB with Microsoft Remote Desktop on a desktop or laptop computer prior to using the app on an Android or iOS mobile device.

Install Microsoft Remote Desktop

  1. Download the Microsoft Remote Desktop app for your device operating system:

  2. Open the app after it is installed. 

  3. Select the Subscribe button.

  4. On the Microsoft Sign in page, enter your @pdx.edu email address then select Next. You will be redirected to PSU's Single Sign-On page. 

  5. Enter your Odin account username and password. If prompted, authenticate your account with Duo Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

  6. Once you're signed in, select and open the Computer Lab icon to open a desktop session.

  7. On the Enter Your User Account screen, enter your @pdx.edu email address and password, then select Continue.
