Student General Access Computer Lab Guide to Printing, Copying, and Scanning

This guide offers step by step instruction for printing, copying, and scanning in OIT student general access computer labs.

Access your Account

To access your account from the printer, you have two options. You can either: 

  • Tap your PSU ID card to the small reader attached to the printer in; or,

  • Enter your Odin username and password to log in.

After logging in, you will see the main screen with three options: Print release, Device functions, and Scan. Follow the directions below to learn more about printing, copying, and scanning.

Remember to log out after you are finished printing, copying, or scanning. To log out, you can either:

  • Tap your PSU ID card to the small reader attached to the printer, in; or,

  • Select the Log out button.

Print

To print using your quota, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the printer to start.

  2. Select Print release from the main screen.

  3. Select Print all to print all files in your queue, or select the check box next to the files(s) you want to print, then select Print.

  4. Make sure to log out when you are finished. To log out, you can either:

    • Tap your PSU ID card to the small reader attached to the printer, OR

    • Select the Log out button.

Copy

To copy using your quota, follow these steps:

  1. Place your copy face up in the scan bed on top of the printer. 

  2. Log in to the printer to start.

  3. Select Device functions from the main screen.

  4. Select Use device functions.

  5. Adjust settings as needed, then select Start.

  6. Make sure to log out when you are finished. To log out, you can either:

    • Tap your PSU ID card to the small reader attached to the printer, OR

    • Select the Log out button.

Scan

You have the option to scan to your email, or to scan to your H:Drive

To Scan to Your Email

  1. Place your copy face up in the scan bed on top of the printer. 

  2. Log in to the printer to start.

  3. Select Scan from the main screen.

  4. Select the option to scan to your email.

  5. You have the option to change the Subject and Filename of the email.

  6. Adjust settings as needed, then select Start scanning.

  7. Select Send to accept the scan, Add another page to continue scanning, or the back button to start over.

  8. Make sure to log out when you are finished. To log out, you can either:

    • Tap your PSU ID card to the small reader attached to the printer, OR

    • Select the Log out button.

To Scan to Your H:Drive

  1. Place your copy face up in the scan bed on top of the printer. 

  2. Log in to the printer to start.

  3. Select Scan from the main screen.

  4. Select the option to scan to your H:Drive.

  5. Adjust settings as needed, then select Start scanning.

  6. Select Send to accept the scan, Add another page to continue scanning, or the back button to start over.

  7. Make sure to log out when you are finished. To log out, you can either:

    • Tap your PSU ID card to the small reader attached to the printer, OR

    • Select the Log out button.
