Digital Faxing Overview

Portland State University offers a Digital Faxing solution through RightFax, a web-based system that serves as a virtual replacement for traditional fax machines. RightFax performs all the functions of a physical fax machine while eliminating costs associated with machine leases, supplies, and maintenance.

This system is an effective way to reduce paper and ink usage in your office, promoting a more sustainable operation. Additionally, RightFax enhances operational efficiency by providing a centralized fax mailbox that can be accessed remotely, allowing for greater convenience and streamlined communication.

Digital Faxing Functionality

After porting your department fax number into RightFax, Digital Faxing will take the place of your physical fax machine and may be used as your sole solution for outbound and inbound faxes. Digital Faxing allows you to send a fax from your desktop computer using the RightFax web interface at fax.pdx.edu.
