This article describes how to connect to the PSU Secure wireless (Wi-Fi) network on campus with Android mobile devices.


Connect to PSU Secure Wi-Fi

If you’re using a device that does not have a cellular data connection, connect to the PSU Guest Wi-Fi network before following the steps below.

  1. Navigate to wifi.pdx.edu in your device’s web browser.

  2. Select Configure via temporary agent (Recommended).

    1. If you are prompted to download an App Store application, select the option to install the application. It will automatically configure the connection on your device.

    2. Once the application is installed, return to wifi.pdx.edu.

  3. Select JoinNow and enter your Odin username and password when prompted.

PSU Secure Wi-Fi Advanced Options

If your device requires a root certificate, the GlobalSign Root CA certificate can be found at https://secure.globalsign.net/cacert/Root-R3.crt.

  1. Select the Menu button on your phone, then select Settings.

  2. Navigate to your device settings, and select Wi-Fi.

  3. Select PSU Secure from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

    1. If this is your first time connecting to a secure network, you will be asked to set a credential storage password. This can be whatever you want it to be.

  4. Depending on your device and operating system, enter the following for any required fields:

    • EAP Method → PEAP

    • Phase 2 Authentication → MSCHAPV2

    • CA Certificate → Use System Certificates

    • Domain → pdx.edu

    • Identity → Your Odin Username

    • Anonymous Identity → Leave Blank

    • Wireless Password → Your Odin Password

  5. Select Connect.

Troubleshooting PSU Secure Wi-Fi Issues

If you're unable to connect to the PSU Secure network, try clearing your local cache and saved networks, especially PSU and PSU Guest.

When you have cleared out all other PSU wireless credentials, your device should always auto-join the PSU Secure network, and you won't need to sign in again.
