DataMASTER reports draw information from a central Operational Data Store (ODS). The ODS warehouse is a large data repository accumulated from sources internal and external to Portland State University.

List of data sourcesBannerBanner is the core campus student records system, hosted and maintained by the Office of Information Technology. The Banner database includes Admissions, Registration, Transcript, Accounts Receivable, Financial Aid, Human Resources, and Finance information. Call CenterAvaya Call Management is a solution that provides information about phone activity for agents and call centers on campus. CampusNexus CRM (formerly Talisma)CampusNexus is a vendor provided Customer Experience Management system, used to contact both prospective and existing students. DataMASTER contains data regarding email campaigns, interactions with existing and prospective students, and recruitment data. National Student Clearinghouse (NSC)NSC is a nonprofit and nongovernmental organization and the leading provider of educational reporting, data exchange, verification, and research services. Data is loaded into DataMASTER for Prior Attendance, Subsequent Enrollment, and Declined Admission. Request TrackerRequest Tracker is an open source issue tracking system maintained by the Office of Information Technology. It's used by various University departments for ticketing tasks, customer service, and workflow operations. StarRezStarRez is a comprehensive student housing solution including: online housing applications, room assignments, and billing. StarRez data is summarized for students showing who has ever lived in housing or is currently in housing. Student Centralized Administrative Reporting File (SCARF)The Student Centralized Administrative Reporting File (SCARF) is a snapshot of Banner data, taken at the 4th week and end of each term, shaped by a script run on the Banner server. The script applies specific rules for consistent comparison across units within PSU, as well as external government agencies and universities. The data is managed by OIRP and stored in the DataMASTER ODS warehouse. Travel DataThe Viking Travel Site supports the PSU Community by providing authorization and reimbursements for travel. Portions of Viking travel data is captured via the OnBase system and sent to DataMASTER for audit reporting. University SuccessCheck-in system used to track information about students who visited a Housing Center for assistance with a question. Data is transferred to DataMASTER through OnBase. University TicketsUniversity Tickets is a cloud-based, vendor-hosted system that university organizations use to sell tickets and collect payments online.
