Connect to the PSU Secure Wi-Fi Network 

The recommended wireless network (Wi-Fi) option network for anyone with an Odin account is the PSU Secure network.

Overview of All Available PSU Wi-Fi Networks

The following wireless ( Wi-Fi ) networks are available on the PSU campus:

• PSU Secure - The recommended option for anyone with an Odin account, this wireless network encrypts the internet traffic from your computer to the wireless access point, providing additional security for your data.

• PSU Registered - This network is for devices such as gaming consoles and streaming media devices, that do not support 802.1x (WPA2-Enterprise) authentication. Instead, this network uses WPA2-Personal (PSK) authentication.

• PSU Guest - Visitors to campus who need Wi-Fi access for 24 hours or less can use this network. Visit Learn more about Guest Wi-Fi  for more informationat PSU.

• Eduroam - A  Wi-Fi authentication service that This network allows students and faculty visiting from across the globe to access the internet using their school credentials at participating institutions across the globe. Wireless Machine Authentication

At Portland State University, wireless Wireless machine authentication takes place whenever a computer with Wi-Fi is powered on to provide a persistent wireless connection. Additionally, wireless machine authentication keeps users on the PSU network even after changing Odin passwords, facilitates faster logins, and ensures Remote Assistance - Bomgar can continue even if the machine is logged out.

The PSU Secure network is also available at the Robertson Life Sciences Building (RLSB). However, neither the PSU Registered nor PSU Guest networks are available at this location. Instead, guests and individuals having trouble accessing the PSU Secure network are encouraged to use the OHSU Guest network.
