Many University

Some departments elect to configure their

copier/printers

copiers to require user codes in order to print.

This allows them to track usage, and ensure that departmental resources aren't being used for non-work related reasons.

If your office copier

/printer

has user codes set up, any attempts to print to it without providing a user code will be rejected.

Printing with a User Code

OIT does not set up user codes or assign them to individuals—this is the responsibility of the department. If you do not know your user code, please contact your departmental IT support representative, your department’s manager or office coordinator, or the vendor your department is leasing your copier from (their contact information can be found on a sticker on the front of the device).
