Recommended Applications for SFTP
To establish an SFTP connection, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) recommends the following applications:
WinSCP for Windows
Cyberduck for macOS
If you’re using a PSU-owned, non-lab or classroom computer, one of these applications may already be installed. If neither is available, open the Self-Service Software - free software for PSU-owned computers application to download the application appropriate for your operating system.
If you’re on a personal computer, you can install these applications by visiting the WinSCP for Windows download page or the Cyberduck download page for macOS.
Setup Your SFTP Connection
The Guides for Using WinSCP site provides instructions on how to connect to an SFTP server using WinSCP. The Cyberduck Help site offers its own support documentation, including a Quick Reference Guide to help you open an SFTP connection and transfer files.
Depending on which folders you wish to access, use the relevant settings from the table below. Enter your Odin username and password in the Username and Password fields.
