How Can I Send a Fax to...? |

How do I send a fax? | You can send a fax from your desktop computer via web using fax.pdx.edu. OpenText faxing web service will allow users to send faxes in multiple document formats. (E.g.- word, excel, pdf). |
How do I receive a fax? | Faxes will be received via the web interface located at fax.pdx.edu. |
What about security? | For those offices with FERPA or HIPAA concerns with regards to information contained in fax documents, we offer a high security configuration. The RightFax hybrid cloud system stores files on a local server in our data center and is maintained using best practices for security and vulnerability. |
Can I Use the “Automatic Printing” Feature? | This feature is not offered in PSU's version of OpenText. |
Can I Use Optical Character Recognition (OCR)? | This feature is not offered in PSU's version of OpenText. |
How long are faxes stored? | All faxes will be saved for ninety (90) days on our local servers. If you need to retain these items longer, you will need to download and save faxes to a storage location of your choice. Preferably Google Drive. |
