Google Workspace Support Resources
Portland State University has partnered with Google to provide faculty, staff, and students access to Google Workspace for Education. These Google tools and services allow schools to collaborate and generate digitally inclusive educational content. This article will provide an overview of the Google educational software supported by the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

Google Calendar allows you to easily schedule events and meetings in one service. With integration with Google Meet and Zoom, those meetings can be made online with a simple button.

Google Chat is a communication service that allows for users to connect and chat virtually, including direct messages and channels, or “Spaces.”

Google Classroom is a free blended learning platform that allows for educational materials to be created, distributed and graded all in the same system.

Google Docs is an online word processor. This web-based document editor allows for online, synchronous collaboration and can be shared in a variety of formats.

Google Drive is a cloud storage system that allows you to store data online, share it and work collaboratively with others.

Google Groups is a discussion group and mailing list service that can be used to communicate and share content with classes, projects, and other groups.

Google Mail is used to communicate with others via email and provides seamless access to other Google communication services such as Chat, Meet, and Voice.
