While OIT strongly recommends you purchase one of the printer models available on the ePSU Marketplace, you may purchase other printers. Please keep Keep in mind that they must adhere to the following standards to be supported by OIT and assigned a printer queue on the PSU network. The printer must:

  • Has Have drivers for Printer Command Language (PCL) 6 or drivers for Postscript (PS) that are compatible with Windows 7.
Note: PCL is preferred. However, if you require PS drivers, OIT will support this, as long as the drivers are model-specific and are compatible with Windows 7.
  • Has Have its own processor (listed in the technical specifications).
  • Does not Not require a connection to the server via USB cable or wireless.
  • Does not Not require software to be installed on the print server (excepting printer drivers).
