Description: This workshop can be customized for your department, organization, or group of students. It lets you explore some of the features in Google Calendar, Documents, Groups, Gmail, Drive, and Sites. Open to everyone at PSU. No experience with Google necessary.

Google Drive is a collaborative platform, meaning that you can use to collaborate with others in real time. This workshop will teach you how to create, edit, manage, and share documents, presentations, and drawings. Some of the features covered will include:

  • Share and collaborate with people at PSU and elsewhere

  • Publish online and get links to embed in a website

  • Create documents, add links, images, videos, tables

  • Create presentations, add animations and videos

  • Organize your files (sort, star, folders)

  • Import files/folders

  • Export files/folders

  • Search

Google Drive is a collaborative platform, meaning that you can use to collaborate with others in real time. This workshop will teach you how to create, edit, manage, and share spreadsheets, forms, and surveys. Some of the features covered will include:

  • Gather and visualize data, crunch numbers

  • Create charts, graphs, other visual tools with your data

  • Upload an Excel spreadsheet and import data from an Excel spreadsheet into a Google spreadsheet
