Computer Basics

Workshop offered: by arrangement

Length: 15 minutes to 2 hours

Description: Curious about computers? This free workshop will cover the basics of using a computer at PSU and is open to everyone at PSU. It’s intended for a small group of people with limited computer experience.

Learn how to:

  • Use a lab computer

  • Print documents on lab printers

  • Print screen

  • Work faster with keyboard shortcuts

  • Navigate internet browsers

  • Use search engines online

  • Spot phishing sites

  • Choose a secure and easy to remember password

Learn:

  • Windows basics

  • Useful PSU websites

  • Stay after to ask questions about Canvas, Banweb, OAM, and other PSU sites

Come with your questions, as we will leave time for Q & A at the end of the workshop. This workshop is usually limited to ten people.
