Activate Your Odin account
Odin accounts are available to all admitted students, faculty, and staff. To activate your Odin account and start using PSU resources, follow each of the following steps:
Step 1: Claim Your Account
Undergraduate, Graduate, and Non-Degree Students
You must be an admitted student to claim an Odin account. Prior to admission, student applicants have access to a Provisional account only.
Go to the Odin Account Manager at oam.pdx.edu and sign in with your email address and password.
Review the policies, select I Accept, then select Continue.
Employees and Special Populations
To claim your Odin account, you will need the activation code found in your hire letter.
Go to oam.pdx.edu/AccountPickup.
Enter your:
PSU ID number
Birth date (mm/dd/yyyy)
Activation code provided in your admissions or hire letter
Select Activate Account.
Review the policies, select I Accept, then select Continue.
Step 2: Choose an Odin Username and Optional Email Alias
Choose an Odin username from the drop-down menu, then select Continue.
If you would like an email alias, select Yes, I would like an email alias.
Choose an email alias from the drop-down menu, then select Continue.
Step 3: Provide Contact Information for Password Recovery
Enter either an alternate (non-PSU) email or a cell phone number that you can use to reset your password, then select Continue.
Step 4: Set up Duo Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Duo 2FA enhances the security of your account by using a secondary device to verify your identity.
This prevents anyone but you from accessing your account, even if they know your password.
Duo 2FA is optional for students, but required for faculty and staff.
After setting up Duo 2FA, you will be asked to configure what systems are protected by 2FA.
Protecting Single Sign-on (SSO) will extend employee password expiration time and exempt students from password expiration.
Step 5: Create a Password
Enter a password for your account that meets the requirements listed on the page.
Re-enter the password to confirm it.
Select Continue when you have met all the password requirements. Visually, the red exes will turn into green check marks.
You have completed the account claim process. We recommend that you record your Odin username and PSU email shown in the upper, right-hand corner before exiting this page. You will need your Odin username, password, and PSU email to access most PSU systems. There is no need to sign out before exiting the page.
