This article describes how to connect to the PSU Secure wireless (Wi-Fi) network on campus with Android mobile devices.

Connect to the PSU Secure Wi-Fi Network 


Follow these steps to connect your device to the PSU Secure wireless network on campus.

Note: If you’re using a laptop, or a mobile device that does not have a cellular data connection, first connect to the PSU Guest network before following the steps below. Learn more about the PSU Guest network.

  1. Navigate to wifi.pdx.edu in your device’s web browser. The site will automatically detect your device’s operating system.

  2. Select Configure via temporary agent (Recommended).

    1. If you're using a mobile device, you may be prompted to download an App store application. Install the application, which will automatically configure the connection on your device.

    2. After you’ve installed the application, return to wifi.pdx.edu.

  3. Select JoinNow.

  4. When prompted, enter your Odin account username and password.

You should now be connected to PSU Secure wireless network.


Advanced option for connecting to the PSU wireless network 

  1. Select the menu button on your phone, then select Settings.

  2. Select Wi-Fi.

  3. Select PSU Secure from the list of available wireless networks.If this is your first time connecting to a secure network, you will be asked to set a credential storage password. This can be whatever you want it to be.

  4. Enter the following (depending on your device and operating system, some of these fields may not be required):

    • EAP Method: PEAP

    • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2

    • CA Certificate: Use System CertificatesNoteIf your device requires a root certificate, the GlobalSign Root CA certificate can be found at https://secure.globalsign.net/cacert/Root-R3.crt.

    • Domain: http://pdx.edu

    • Identity: YourOdinUsername

    • Anonymous identity: Leave blank

    • Wireless Password: YourOdinPassword

  5. Select Connect.

Resolve connection problems

If you're unable to connect to the PSU Secure network, try clearing your local cache and saved networks, especially PSU and PSU Guest.

When you have cleared out all other PSU wireless credentials, your device should always auto-join the PSU Secure network, and you won't need to sign in again.
